Kids Body Yoga and Mums Bubs n Toddlers Yoga Classes at Body Yoga Berwick

Join us for Term 3 Kids Yoga Classes, Mums n Bubs Yoga Classes and Mum n Toddlers Yoga Classes.

Classes  for Term 3 commence the week of Monday 16th July 2012, with the exception of the Wednesday classes which start the following week 25th July 2012.

Our Kids Yoga classes are for children aged 3 -12 years old.  We have classes for 3-5 year olds, 5-8 year olds and 8-12 year olds.  Yoga can have many benefits for children including:

  • Builds confidence and self esteem
  • Improves concentration levels
  • Develops co-ordination
  • Improves flexibility
  • Develops body awareness
  • Relieves anxiety
  • Relaxes and calms the mind

Children learn about yoga through the use of games and creative play and using their imaginations.  The focus is on fun and respecting their bodies and each other. In the 3 years that our Kids Classes have been running we have had many parents comment on how beneficial yoga has been for conditions such as night terrors, anxiety, depression, Aspergers, Autism, bullying and  lack of confidence. Yoga is such a gift and if we can help improve a child’s life through our classes then we have achieved the vision of Body Yoga Kids Classes.

Our Mums n Bubs Yoga Classes and Mums n Toddlers Classes are a wonderful opportunity for parents to bond with their children and do something meaningful together.  Mums n Bubs are for parents with babies aged 6 weeks to 1 year old.  Once baby is walking they can progress to the Mums n Toddlers class which is generally for ages 1 – 3 years old.  Once your Toddler is happy to be left on their own then they can progress to our Kids Yoga classes and Mums can join our Adults classes.

These yoga classes provide parents with the opportunity to do something healthy for their bodies whilst enjoying time with their child. A calm, happy Mum equals a calm, happy baby. It also provides an opportunity to meet other mums in a non-competitive, non-judgemental environment. A time to come together, create new friendships and feel supported on your journey of motherhood.

For infants, this is a beautiful introduction to interacting socially with other children without any pressure to be anything other than themselves. Children are natural yogis, all born with tremendous flexibility. Yoga can help

  • build strength in a child’s developing body
  • help improve digestion
  • encourages better sleep patterns
  • beneficial to relieving  constipation
  • reduces symptoms of colic

Dad’s, Grandparents, Carers and siblings are also welcome to attend our Mums, Bubs n Toddlers classes. Yoga really is for every BODY so come along, make new friends and share this valuable gift with your precious child.
