Our Retreats are scheduled regularly throughout the year and offer a space to share time and knowledge with other like minded people. Our Yoga & Wellness Retreats provide a unique opportunity to take time out from the busyness of life to feel nourished and grounded once more. Retreats are a great way to be nurtured and re-energised. Everyone is welcome.

March 2017 Retreat – Karen

Last weekend 21 excited (and maybe some a little apprehensive) ladies drove to Hepburn Springs for  a Body Yoga Retreat with myself  and Emma at the amazing venue ‘Continental House’  lovingly  owned and managed by Veronica and Steve.

We arrived Friday afternoon with some taking the opportunity to look around Daylesford and even indulging in a little retail therapy, Go Girls!!  Our Retreat, the theme being ‘Finding the still point in our turning world’ officially started at 5:00pm with Emma taking a gentle yoga class. This was followed by a light  dinner supplied by Mr Black in Berwick (yummy), we then enjoyed a relaxing guided meditation with Emma before retiring to our beautiful rooms.

Saturday saw us  up ‘bright eyed and bushy tailed’ at 7:00am for a short guided meditation with Emma, whilst I was in the  kitchen organising breakfast. For those who weren’t off to enjoy either massages, bush walks or just relaxing joined Emma and I for a talk on ‘facing our fears’. A big thank you to all that not only came along but also shared their stories. We then enjoyed another wonderful Yoga session with Emma followed by lunch which was grown and prepared by local chef Gary from ‘Spade to Blade’ simply amazing !

After lunch  we had some free time,  again for massages, a Turkish Steam Bath (on the premises) or trips into town to visit The Convent Gallery, Lake House, Lavender Farm or just to spend some quiet time at the house. Late afternoon saw us back onto our mats for a late afternoon yoga session again with Emma followed by dinner and guided relaxation/meditation led by my good self.  Sunday morning saw us on our meditation cushions again while I led a short meditation followed by group discussion and then off to breakfast for all. It was then time to done our runners and head off for a guided bush walk led by owners Veronica and Steve.

A HUGE thank you to these guys who went above and beyond to make sure our stay at ‘Continental House’ was comfortable and enjoyable. I then  led us through a gentle Hatha Yoga class with relaxation and deep breathing and it was then time to say goodbye to everyone before they headed home. A huge thank you to Emma for all her work, to all the ‘kitchen helpers’, to our hosts Veronica and Steve and to the 19 ladies who contributed to such an amazing weekend! As this venue was hugely popular we have been fortunate to be able to secure a date in October to go back for another Retreat so watch this space!
