Restorative Yoga classes

Our Restorative Yoga classes are suitable for all levels of students and will include gentle, restorative yoga poses as well as guided meditations and relaxation. Highly beneficial for those who have been unwell, recovering from adrenal fatigue, suffer from insomnia or just have a lot going on in life and need some time out just to let go and be nurtured. Seniors will find this class highly beneficial as will our pre and post natal students.

More and more doctors, surgeons, physiotherapists, osteopaths and other health professionals are advising their patients to take up yoga & meditation as an alternative to drugs and ongoing treatments.  Many students find that their visits to physiotherapists and the like are greatly decreased once they commence a regular yoga class – and that’s just doing 1 class per week!  Seniors can also greatly benefit from a gentle yoga class.  Gentle movement keeps the body “alive” and active so that seniors feel better able to do the things they really enjoy in life like gardening, playing sport or golf, playing with grandchildren, even just getting out of bed with ease in the mornings. Yoga & Meditation have so many benefits and are suitable for everyone and every “body” regardless of age or state of health. Flexibility is NOT required to do yoga and injury certainly does not prevent one from attending this gentle class. Regardless of physical conditions, illness or age this class is suitable for every BODY type.  We have had students attend with shoulder injuries, back injuries, hip issues, cancer, arthritis, fibromyalgia, depression and the like and all have managed the class with ease and have found great relief from their physical ailments. Meditation can help lower stress levels which in turn can help prevent many stress related dis-eases.
